Now, I have a confession to make....

I said I was going to make step-by-step pictures of my Yuna cosplay, and I have to say... I didn't.
Sorry!

But the thing is, it is such a big project, and making a tutorial of it is just to much of a hassle.
So many problems came to me along the way, but I am happy to say: the end is in sight!
I made the wings, dress, veil, boots and I received my gorgeous tiara.
All that needs to be done is finish up the embroidery on the dress (is gonna take a while @_@) and it is finished!

One extra thing I have to do is make the necklace, because they are out of the market unfortunately.

I said I would make a tutorial of this dress. My motivation for this is that I forget a lot about how I do things, and that is such a shame.
So, I want to remember myself.
But that is not all. I like helping people, and a lot of people have been asking me for help with their cosplay. As I like this dress a lot I thought by myself; why not make a tutorial of this, so that others can see how I work, and maybe make this pretty dress themselves one day?
So, this is my first step-by-step cosplay, please note that I do not know how to make a good tutorial yet XD
So it will be basic in a lot of places, forgive me for that.

First step, fabrics!
I chose for:
white bridalsatin, 6 mtrs. €5,95 pm, so it was €35,70 for this.
white taftsilk, 6 mtrs also, for the lining. €2,50 pm so €15 for this too
white see-through lace curtain, for the veil, 3 mtr broad, 2 mtrs long. €7,95 pm, so €15,90.
In total it was €66,60.

Next come the baleens. I used sew-in baleens, not iron, because I like moving XD
I bought 5 mtr, those were €1,50, so €7,50.
A white zipper, 20 cm, €1,35.

Of course, we need feathers too! Now, I already have those, left overs from my Angel Sanctuary cosplay (Adam Kadamon).
I found out that you need around 300 feathers, so if you go to Rainbowfeathercompany, and order about 300-500 feathers, you will have enough probably.
Depends on the way you work with them, I use them not very roughly, I use them in a very structural way. You will see that later.
Anyway, those are about.... €30 I think... I bought 1400 feathers for about €80 I think... Not sure tho. But I bought them from rainbowfeatherco. That is for sure! I love their feathers, they are beautiful. They are white dyed, turkey rounds hen.

So,in total we are around €105,50.
Not to bad huh? I have a budget of €200-250. So I am still going fine here ^^
Supplies still needed:

- boots (aprox: €40-60)
- panty (aprox: €3)
- tiara (aprox: €20)
- jewelry (gonna borrow them)
- flowers (aprox: €20)

So, extra costs are gonna be: €80-100

For those who didn't know yet that this one is a very expensive cospla, they know now XD
But hey, it is a weddingdress! What else did you expect?
I still think it is not even that expensive considering....

Anyway, this is it for now, gonna cut the fabric this week, and swe the basics when I find the time too. I'll keep you posted of course

haya!!!

So, I have finally refound my livejournal *gasp* Who would have thought!

Anyway, I was thinking, as my life is about and only about cosplay, maybe I should use my journal for only that, what do you guys think?

Now I know, almost nobody reads this, so I can also post my progress of my secret cosplay here, smart neh ;)

And when I get more visitors, well... those people are just gonna be lucky and are the people who will know all my secrets about cosplay. Lucky you who is reading this!!!

Trunks is going to be the teener version, normal and super saiyan. And Yuna is going to be next attempt to get an award ;) Nah, it's not about the awards, it is about the challenge! And a challenge it is, oh my goddess @_@

I drafted the pattern and it is huge!!! And pretty, only the pattern alone is pretty, who would have thought lol!

Anyway, Trunks I have made the shirt, the scarf and the pants, waiting for the wig, and I will take tutorial pics of the wigmaking progress and post them here.

So yeah... I will keep you up to date I guess....

So, it is Monday again, 26th of November of the year 2007. Of course, closing in on 2008 I feel like I should talk about some things I've learned this year and what I'e done.
First of all, I graduated my first year of Arts Therapy of course. That is important because you can't go to the third year if you don;t finish your first year. It sounds strange, but it's like that here.
Now, started in September my second year, I learned more than I thought actually. I cam across that when I started the wallpainting my mother asked me to make in her room. It is really a closetpainting because it is on the back wall of her closet. She is making dollhouses and wanted a nice background for it. So asked me to make it. I will add pictures when I get them ^^
But I was talking about what I learned. I painted the mountains of the painting and by doing it, and looking at it I saw how much better I have became at painting. It looks really good,if I may say so myself. Really proud of it.
And the therapy part is going great too. I can do so much more and see so much more than I did before. Amazing, the things they teach at school. So boys and girls, hear me out: go to school XD
But alas, my titel comes to mind: Monday: free day...? Not really -.-
I don't have school but I have so much homework! I feel like getting buried alive. That is the downside of school. Making reports, studying and the stress you encounter doing all this.

Also some good news: I am getting 2 new dolls! One is Meave, a Sonokong Irene (yes, the one from my book) and a Chiwoo Vampire head, called Romance. I love them ^^
*Still need to pay for them tho -.-

haya!!!

I just posted the first part of my book about Meave. I posted it in a dutch animeforum, cause the whole book is in dutch, so I wont post it in my journal.
Those who want to read it can ask me for it though.
Hope people like it, cause it took me a lot of time perfecting it. It still isn't perfect but I do like it a lot.

This sunday is gonna be a special day. My first dollmeet :D
I am so excited. Rayne has quite a special look, as he is a demon, so I wonder what the others think about him. And of course it is on a fair, so I am also gonna buy some stuff for my Lovely Demon.
It is nine o'clock now and I am bored -.-
Guess I should work on my homework again, but I don't really want to.
Oh well, can't have it all now can you ^^;
I finished book 2 of Avatar and I simply loved it. Can't wait till book 3 is released. Any day now, any day :D:D:D

So, this is my first time writing in my own journal here.
EXCITING!!!!
Anywayz, I really don't know what I should say here.
My current obsession is of course my Demon dollie Rayne, so most of my journal will be about him. And together with my other obsessions cosplay and anime that will be foundation of my journal, as it is of my life.
I live in the Netherlands, so my english me be a bit strange now and then, but hey, I'm trying ^^
I am gonna pst some pictures of cosplay's and Rayne here when I figured it all out lol!
For now, I have to go back to my newest find: Avatar, the last airbender.
I fell in love with this show!!!
Maybe it's nice to know that I am gonna try to get a Avatar cosplay group together and I will be cosplaying Katara, as she is a waterbender and I am a waterelement lover ^^ Besides, my sign is cancer, wich is a watersign.
But first, I have to finish my Da Qiao and my Howl costumes, so Katara will have to wait for now. Okay, I'm gonna watch some anime, catch you all later!!!
